Why is a printed school directory more insecure than a mobile and online directory?

Auctioning off a 2006-2007 Hale/Field school directory… #WHSassassins pic.twitter.com/gkYqJzP0so Sarah Petersen, April 23, 2014 The print school directories is a valuable tool for parents who want to connect with other parents in their school community.  However, these print directories also represent a security risk since they can be readily transferred to anyone outside of the intended school community.  An extreme misuse of the directory and its contents is illustrated by an example of an ongoing online auction of school directory to the highest bidder. Please show your strong disapproval of this directory auction posting.  A collective request to remove this posting will prevent similar postings in the future.

A web app or a native app to access a mobile school directory? School Directory App invaluable tool for parents

Why do parents need a mobile school directory? All parents are always balancing their commitments to work and other responsibilities with their children’s activities and school events. Their school directory and calendar is an invaluable tool for them to communicate with other parents in their child’s class/school/sports team. Parents are mobile and on the run dropping and picking up kids at various activities. However most of the schools do not publish a mobile school directory. The school directories continue to be printed on paper. Take the case of Allison, a working Mom with 2 children in elementary school who lives in our neighborhood.
