Smartphones have become an inseparable part of our lives and the better we secure it, the safer is our personal data. Our previous tech tip last week showed you how to secure your smartphone with a passcode. This week we will show you how to secure your smartphone with your fingerprints. Note that in the unpleasant event that you are arrested or pulled over by a police officer, you can be forced to unlock your phone with your fingerprint, while they cannot force you to unlock with your passcode. School Directory App: The Anatomy of an Intuitive and Easy-to-Use Mobile Directory

The goal of this article is to highlight the design elements that go into the creation of a school directory app. The school directory app translates and presents a database of information in a format that can be easily found and accessed by the parent or member in the school. Essentially, the user should be able to find the information that they need, e.g., parent or teacher’s contact information, quickly and intuitively from a school directory app. The three most important aspects to building a user-friendly school directory app are: Information Architecture, User Interface and User Experience.
